I love old computers. Although I entered into the realm fairly late (1992 or so,) I have grown to appreciate and
marvel at the genius behind the personal computer revolution that started in the mid-1970s. I got my start on
an Atari 1040 STe, purely to run Cubase music
software to sequence synthesizers. I have sequenced literaly hundreds of original and cover songs using this
simple but powerful computer. You can hear many of these sequences at
VelvetElvis.net and my page at MySpace. I gave my
Atari to my ex around 95, but still have tons of great software, and will be adding another one to the collection soon.

I worked with my first Macintosh in 1994 with a company called Sound Source Interactive. We made AudioClips from Star
Trek, Star Wars and other pop culture icons for the Mac. I worked on a Mac IIci which
was a much more powerful and fun machine than my Atari was. However, at a retail price of $8800.00, the IIci was way
out of my reach.
Right around that time, I was given an IBM 386 in an old AT case. It was from that that I built my first PC. Unfortunately, that
personal relic is long gone, as are several of my past machines. It was in 2006 that I decided to ressurect some
older machines, to preserve them, and to begin collecting some older computers. My goal is not to have the best or biggest
collection. It is simply to present that which interests me personally. I hope you enjoy your visit, and that it inspires you
to better appreciate the history associated with these miraculous machines.
Steve "Woz" Wozniak signed this IIe for me!
I hope you enjoy your visit. If you have any interesting stories or information about any of these machines, please contact me
at sd@redhare.com.

This Web site is dedicated to those who worked long hours into the night, trying to find that bug, eating pinnapple pizza,
and working hard to make it easy for the rest of us. In particular, this is dedicated to my hero, Steve Wozniak.
