Apple IIgs

I have 3 Apple IIgs's. One is an early model with Rom 1 in it. One is the Tenth Anniversary "Woz" signature Limited Edition, and my main one is a Rom 3.

I love the Apple IIgs because it, along with all the other Apple IIs, was an underdog. Since the Macintosh came out in 1984 (and actually long before that) the big-wigs at Apple poured all their resources into it, often at the expense of the Apple II line. Even so, it was the Apple II that financed all other interests at Apple almost all the way through the 80s. The IIgs is as close to a merge between Apple II and Mac as it ever got. And even though the IIgs, and its development team, were considered second-class citizens at Apple, the machine still managed to shine! Many, including myself, believe that the Apple IIs still have untapped possibilities and, although seemingly dwarfed by the capabilities of modern computers, still have much to be explored.

For the most comprehensive information on the history of Apple II computers, visit Apple2History.org. It has helped me trmendously.
